Electricity Billing?
Below is a quote from an electricity supplier:
“If you use an one-tarrif-type, you can have prices for kWh from $ 0.15-$ 0.19 per kwh.
If you have a two-tarrif-type your prices for high tarrif can be from $ 0.21 /kWh to $ 0.16 /kWh with all taxes for low tarrif can be from $ 0.13 /kWh to $ 0.11 /kWh with all taxes.”
Does anyone here understand this statement? I am a typical domestic user. Which tarrif applies for me? And how am I gonna be charged?

The two tarrif system uses a high usage system. The power company determines when their highest load period is and charges more per KWH.
When they experiance a low usage period they typically charge a lower rate.
Your power company can only produce so much electricity, Total KW Output. When they can not meet the demand of their customers, they must buy electricity from some other power company. That is when you pay the higher rate.
These numbers are all calculated over a period of several years to come up with an average.
So you should have been told, if not find out, when the higher rate period is and change your life style. Dry clothes, cook dinner, take baths and use your high consumption items during the low period.
Work at it a little and you’ll find ways to lower your electric bill.
I put a timer on the water heater and my children found who took a long bath used all the hot water and everyone else had to use luke warm or cold water. It works, we lowered our bill by several precentage points.
Good luck
